The CertiFloor Engagement

Here's what happens when you hire us.

Specification Support

Before your project goes to bid, we review your Division 09 flooring specifications and help ensure commissioning requirements are captured correctly. We provide specification language for Section 01 91 63 that you can adapt to your project. We don't write your specs — we make sure commissioning scope is clear so bidders understand the requirement.

Pre-Installation Review

Before flooring work begins, we review project specifications, approved submittals, and manufacturer installation requirements for every flooring product on the project. This creates the verification baseline — what needs to be followed and exactly how we'll confirm it.

Site Verification

During installation, our agent is on your jobsite at critical milestones:

Number of visits depends on project size and complexity. Typical hospital project (150,000–250,000 SF): 8–15 site visits over the installation period. Typical K-12 project (50,000–100,000 SF): 4–8 visits.

Coordination

We attend pre-installation meetings. We coordinate with the GC's schedule — we don't disrupt it. When we identify non-compliance, we document it and notify the owner's representative, architect, and contractor in writing. We don't stop work. We don't direct the contractor. We provide facts so the project team makes informed decisions.

The Proof Packet

At turnover, you receive a comprehensive commissioning report — what we call the Proof Packet. This is your neutral evidentiary record.

What's inside:

This is the document that enforces warranties and resolves disputes. It answers the question "were requirements followed?" with evidence.
